"Happy Christmas Poem"

Chop down the trees,
and burn all the wood,
its christmas time,
so we're up to no good.
Santa is watching,
with fear stricken face,
sheltering innocence,
that is thrown out of place.
The bombs are a pounding,
lighting up without care,
the choking thick smoke just lofts through the air.
Children are crying,
shot down in the street,
in the back alleys though,
where eyes do not greet.
Carollers sing,
the dirge of the world,
while red sleighs fly over,
shouting help to the lord.
As the terror begins,
with panic and fright,
a faint echo sings,
merry christmas to all,
and to all a good night.

"Dying Love"

Dying love,
killing away the moments,
drowning shadows on the floor,
dries out all the good in life,
until you're headed out the door.

The Lost Sea of Time

Time stands still,
the pendulum swings,
we're frozen in time together,
but I can't see a thing.
Your hand holds mine,
squeezes it tight,
yet the fluid that fills me,
is turning to ice.
The people are drowning,
in waves of disdain,
the seas keep on surging,
but still you keep me sane.

My hand slips away,
falls from you,
falls from life,
suddenly I'm drowning,
just like the others in the night.
But in this sea of lost love,
an arm comes and grabs,
pulling me up above,
onto the living land.
Your smile thaws me,
and time moves again,
the pendulum swings,
and we're together again.

Why does hypocrisy run so constant everywhere?

"The River Flows"

the river flows,
the soft wind blows,
the girl floats down,
there's distress in the town.

the body found,
later on in the river down,
but the soft wind blows,
and the river flows.

the people cry,
and the years go by,
but still the soft wind blows,
and the river flows.

further down,
new life is found,
and the wind still blows,
and the river flows.

"A Love I Have Never Known Before"

I was sitting on the ground,
gazing at the sky,
and I felt your head upon me,
and I gazed at you out of the corner of my eye.

I just sat there,
amazed at how you make me feel,
how you lift me up,
and make me see things I didn't know were real.

I looked and looked until you noticed,
and then I looked away,
and I just felt my heart take flight,
as if it didn't happen every day.

No matter how long we've been together,
I still get butterflies,
and my heart still gets light,
each time you look at me with those sparkling blue eyes.

Your hand in mine is the answer,
to an equation I do not know,
but I want it to stay like this forever,
and I love how you promise me you'll never let go.

You're the right to all my wrongs,
the moon to my sun and sky,
the stars are brighter when I'm with you,
even though I'm not quite sure why.

If only words could express,
how I feel for you each day,
I would open my heart forever,
in every type, shape, reason and way.
